What high school and college did you attend? What did you study? What are you currently studying?

I went to Huntley High School, and I currently attend UIS. I am studying psychology and biology.

Tell us 5 facts about you! 

  1. I have been playing soccer for 16 years.
  2. I have a birthmark in my eye.
  3. I will be travelling to Italy in May—I am very excited!
  4. I plan on continuing my education in graduate school for Occupational Therapy.
  5. I have HUGE sweet tooth, and chocolate is my vice.

What 3 words would you use to describe The Autism Clinic?

Fun, creative, and welcoming J

What are your hobbies when you’re not working with our amazing children?

I go back and forth between being active, and extremely lazy. One day I’ll go for a hike or run, and the next day I won’t leave my bed to binge watch Netflix.

What is your favorite part about working at The Autism Clinic?

My favorite part is seeing and hearing about all of the amazing progress our kiddos are making! They all have so much potential so it’s great when they make steps to reaching it.

What have you gained from working at The Autism Clinic?

Working at TAC has made me much more creative and resourceful. When I first started I was overwhelmed and in awe by how flawlessly my coworkers implemented programs. I think it’s finally starting to rub off on me!

If you can go anywhere on a dream vacation, where would you go?

I would love to just spend a week relaxing on the beach in Mexico.

Title: Speech Language Pathologist

What high school and college did you attend? What did you study? What are you currently studying?

I earned my high school diploma at Sacred Heart Griffin in Springfield IL, my bachelor of science at University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana IL, and my master of science at Western Illinois University in Macomb IL. Since my freshman year of high school, I knew I wanted to be a speech-language pathologist so I studied the relevant communication science and disorders coursework throughout all of my education!

Tell us 5 facts about you! 

  1. I am a middle child, with one older sister and two younger brothers.
  2. Despite being very introverted, I was voted Best Eyes in my high school year book.
  3. I do not like strawberries!
  4. I am the only member of my immediate family to travel to Europe.
  5. I was in an a cappella group in college. I sang soprano 1 because of my high range and soprano 2 because of my harmony skills. The Pitch Perfect movies aren’t that far off from the real deal!

What 3 words would you use to describe The Autism Clinic?

Supportive, Passionate, Hopeful

What are your hobbies when you’re not working with our amazing children?

I enjoy performing in musicals, watching television series and movies while snuggled up in oversized blankets, decorating my new home, taking snap chats of my pets, reading fantasy novels, and more.

What is your favorite part about working at The Autism Clinic?

My favorite part is seeing and hearing about all of the amazing progress our kiddos are making! They all have so much potential so it’s great when they make steps to reaching it.

What have you gained from working at The Autism Clinic?

I have gained an incredible network of intelligent and enthusiastic co-workers, an inspirational clientele, and specialized knowledge and skills in autism assessment and ABA intervention techniques (in addition to continuing education and professional development as a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist).

If you can go anywhere on a dream vacation, where would you go?

Each summer I am fortunate enough to take my dream vacation to the beaches of Destin Florida with my parents and all my siblings.
