Name: Falyn Lockenour

Title: Clinician

Started at The Autism Clinic: I started working as a clinician about one month ago, on May 22nd 2017, but I started working at TAC as an undergraduate student.

Experience in the field: 4 years

What high school and college did you attend? What did you study? What are you currently studying?

I attended New Berlin High School where I received my High School Diploma in 2011. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Springfield in 2015 and received a Master of Science in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University- Carbondale in 2017. I am currently studying for the Behavior Analysis Board Exam.

  1. I raise chickens!
  2. Diet soda is my favorite drink
  3. I have two sisters… we look like triplets
  4. I train my pet guinea pig using principles of applied behavior analysis
  5. I love running

Caring, Determined, Fun

What are your hobbies when you’re not working with our amazing children?

Some of my hobbies outside of work include: playing soccer, skiing, wakeboarding, running, reading romance novels, and watching HGTV.

What is your favorite part about working at The Autism Clinic?

Working direct with clients and teaching our technicians behavior analysis tricks!

What have you gained from working at The Autism Clinic?

I have gained so much knowledge and insight into the clinical world while working at TAC. I have learned new ways to provide effective supervision to our clients and technicians, how to work with a team to ensure fidelity across clinicians, as well as how to complete many behind the scenes tasks.

If you can go anywhere on a dream vacation, where would you go?

To go somewhere tropical and lay on the beach!

Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Experience in the field: 6 months

What high school and college did you attend? What did you study? What are you currently studying?

I attended Staunton High School. I graduated from the University of Illinois with my Undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Science. I hope to continue on to Graduate School to become a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Fun, Rewarding, Enjoyable

What are your hobbies when you’re not working with our amazing children?

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going to the gym, or watching movies with my little brother!

What is your favorite part about working at The Autism Clinic?

Watching the kids make progress each day.

What have you gained from working at The Autism Clinic?

I have gained so much knowledge about ABA therapy, different trials and techniques for naturalistic teaching and DTT, and how much it can help children with Autism.

If you can go anywhere on a dream vacation, where would you go?

My dream vacation would probably be a trip to Colorado!
