I attended Marion High in Marion, Illinois. I am currently at MacMurray College studying psychology and working towards my B.A with a concentration in clinical psychology. I graduate in May!

Tell us 5 facts about you!

  1. I am originally from Marion, Illinois.
  2. Before psychology, I was a fine arts major in commercial music/music composition and have been playing instruments and writing arrangements for a long time now. I still do on occasion.
  3. My first job was at a childcare center, which is the reason I am pursuing child psychology now.
  4. I am a huge Michigan Wolverine Fan (football and basketball).
  5. I am terrified of lady bugs, which is the only thing I do not like about the Fall.

What 3 words would you use to describe The Autism Clinic?

  1. Positive (supervisors, clinicians, and technicians)
  2. Encouraging (work environment)
  3. Genuine (in their care with the children that we work with)

What are your hobbies when you’re not working with our amazing children?

Unfortunately, being in my last year of undergrad, most of my hobbies include homework and filling out college applications. However, when I am not doing that I enjoy playing music, writing, and just being able to spend time with my friends. When I get the chance.

What is your favorite part about working at The Autism Clinic?

My favorite part about working with at TAC is the overall work environment. You can see and feel the genuine care and love that each person has for these kids we are lucky enough to spend time with and work with. It is not an easy job by any means to work with children in general, but TAC really works together to make a positive impact on these kids.

What have you gained from working at The Autism Clinic?

I have gained a sense of confidence in my abilities from working at TAC. Even though I am still learning and am nowhere near perfect, I feel more and more confident in my abilities to really impact the lives of children and their families now and in the future.

If you can go anywhere on a dream vacation, where would you go?

Bora Bora or Bali, hands down.

While working at The Autism Clinic, I have gained an understanding of ABA. Although on the surface we are helping our clients learn everyday skills, what we receive is really the special part. I get to see children reach their goals, both small and big, and the result that satisfaction brings to both the client and their families is what makes even the hardest days so exciting.
